Navigate your journey through a Mind-Body approach

Kelsey Ruffing Counseling is based on three core values: compassion, empathy and understanding. Kelsey's practice focuses on helping individuals navigate through difficult experiences utilizing mind-body approaches. In regard to sport related transitions and injury, Kelsey is trained in a modality called Brainspotting.

Brainspotting is a neuro based mind-body approach to clearing mental blocks and traumas stored in the subcortical parts of the brain. Kelsey specializes in athlete-identity and identity transitions after medical and sport trauma. In her clinical practice, she utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and person-centered therapies.

In her coaching practice she utilizes solution-based, positive psychology based principles to help individuals identify and move towards wholeness and self-fulfillment.

Testimonials

"Working with Kelsey really allowed me to process the most difficult time of my life - injury - and see it as a stepping stone forward, rather than a big setback. I really valued our time together and learned about myself both as an athlete and as an individual."
